2008

1.What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Lived with a boyfriend. It's fun.

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never make any.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
A cousin and a wife of another cousin, both are actually named Katja, gave birth to sons in March.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.

5. What countries did you visit?
Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and France.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Healthier body.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory?
I only remember birthdays, not dates of other events. One of the most most awesome and memorable moments was the first run down the slopes on the first sunny day in the Alps.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I became happier, and got rid of insomnia.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not losing enough weight.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Oh, did I? :D In the spring it was all about my stomach: one day in February I threw up 14 times and in April I spent two nights at hospital because of some campylobacter. Later it was just flu, flu, flu, all the frigging time! And my rotten tooth is still rotten and most of it has fallen off, but I am too scared to go to the dentist. I really should go there, I know.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My skis! They are great. :)

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
The three frenchmen who kindly helped me when I fell down and my sunglasses and ski poles flew away. There ARE nice people in France, after all! :D

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
There was this one person, who hurt someone close to me.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Probably into some big black hole...

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My job, skiing.

16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Never Alone by Barlowgirl.

Happier, like, n times. n >> 10

Let's just say that I am fitter, okay?

iii. richer or poorer?
Richer, thanks to a job.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Seeing a dentist.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Sneezing.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
At daddy's. It was fun, Deli fell in love with her pig.

21. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
In Tõrva, a small town in southern Estonia. Exact moment was spent at Tõrva main square with Sonja, watching Jenni who was opening a bottle of cava.

22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
I was already in love.

23. How many one night stands?
Zero, for the third time in a row!

24. What was your favourite TV programme?
The Simpsons. I had a fling with Grey's Anatomy, but since some of the main characters (Meredith, Cristina) bug me so much, it can't be my favourite. And Desperate Housewives has maybe lost its spark.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not really.

26. What was the best book you read?
Twilight-series by Stephenie Meyer. I also loved Time-traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (spelling?). Henning Mankell's Chinese was a bit of a dissapointment, but only because I had such hight hopes for it.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
iPod rocks!

28. What did you want and get?
A trip to the Alps.

29. What did you want and not get?
A dog puppy!

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
SATC, and Golden Compass, if I saw it this year. Can't remember.

31. What did you do on your birthday?
I ate Chinese food with friends (thanks!) and spent quality time at Maari doing school work unti 2.30 am. Plus I must have had a hangover from the fondue night before.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A puppy?

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
This summer it was skirts and ballet flats. I also started to read fashion blogs, and got inspired.

34. What kept you sane?
Steady income from my job.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don't think I had any new crushes... Oh yeah, Colin Firth in Mamma Mia! and Bridget Jones! :D Too bad dad didn't record succesfully Pride and Prejudice for me.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Lakupiiput! :D Or maybe US presidential elections.

37. Who did you miss?
Cassie!

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Like always, I can't choose.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
You can know all about nutrition and dieting, but you won't lose weight if you still eat pizza three days in a row.
